So no matter what i do both installers still require me to have the discs in the cd drive. Please insert the cd labeled Diablo 2 Play Disc'.

Tried the LOD installer and the game key from the battle net account, inserted the game key and hit okay and the next box that came up said. But i do not know what to do about the d2 installer.

As for LOD i will try the key from the battle net account, when i ran the installer i got the box for the game key, but it wanted a 26 digit key and the one on the box is only a 16 game key. I ran the installer for d2 once it had downloaded but the first box up was the box to say make sure you have the disc in the cd drive, i cannot even get to the point of inputting the game key. Thank you Miss Cheetah, I did add the game keys to my battle net account and i downloaded the online installer for d2 and LOD. In this case, a 'Full Installation' is required, followed by file copy step noted above. Anyone who did not perform a 'Full Installation' will need to re-install from CD again to ultimately play without the CD. Mac users will need to copy these music files and rename them to 'Diablo II Music' and 'Diablo II Expansion Music' respectively. Most users will only need to copy D2Music.mpq from the Diablo 2 Play CD and/or D2xMusic.mpq from the Lord of Destruction CD. For users that originally performed a 'Full Installation' and wish to run without the CD, all '.MPQ' files should be copied from the Diablo 2 CDs to the Diablo 2 directory. ^^ If all required Diablo 2 '.MPQ' files are installed on the hard drive, the game will no longer require the CD to play. I mean if you've already installed via the CDs, you'll need to copy the mpqs over.
